BEVERLY, Mass. — The 2024 Endicott baseball team has officially been named as the statistical champion for fielding percentage, earned run average (ERA), and winning percentage across all of NCAA Division III this past spring.
The Gulls' defense and pitching were on display all season. Each were fundamental components to their deep postseason run and record-breaking regular season performance, which saw them earn the top ranking in Division III baseball for nine straight weeks.
Coach Bryan Haley's squad finished the season with a fielding percentage of .979, an ERA of 2.99, and a winning percentage of .922. The winning percentage sets a new program record, while the fielding percentage and ERA marks rank second and fourth in program history, respectively.
Additional milestones for this year's squad included a program record 47 wins, becoming the first varsity sport in school history to earn a No. 1 national ranking, and a third straight New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) D3 Team of the Year award.
