Gulls Ranked Program-Best No. 2 Nationally In Latest D3Baseball.com Poll

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott baseball team has been ranked No. 2 overall in the D3baseball.com Top-25 Poll (week two). Today's announcement marks the highest national ranking in program history, surpassing last week's ranking of third overall.

The upward movement on the poll comes as a result of Endicott's 3-0 opening week with wins against UMass Boston (5-1) and Salem State (5-1, 11-3).

So far this season, the Gulls have outscored opponents 21-5, and are collectively slashing .282/.364/.459 (AVG/OBP/SLG).

Conversely, the team's pitching staff is limiting opponents to a slash line of .208/.303/.292. The group also is averaging 11.33 strikeouts per nine innings alongside a 1.67 earned run average (ERA) and a 1.07 WHIP.

The No. 2 national ranking ties the 2017-18 Endicott men's ice hockey team for the highest national ranking in Endicott varsity sports history.
