BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott senior left-handed pitcher Jordan Gottesman (Acton, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
In the Gulls' season-opening 5-1 victory against UMass Boston on Saturday, Gottesman earned the win via six strong innings, limiting the Beacons to just six hits and one earned run.
He fanned a career-high 11 batters in the outing, surpassing his previous mark of nine (3/5/22 | Salem State, 14-0 W).
Gottesman's 11-strikeout performance also tied a host of Gulls for the sixth most punchouts in a single game in program history.
This is Gottesman's first career CCC Pitcher of the Week award.
