Nicolas Notarangelo Named To D3baseball.com College World Series All-Tournament Team

D3BASEBALL.COM RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott senior outfielder Nicolas Notarangelo (Taunton, Mass.) has been selected to the D3baseball.com College World Series All-Tournament Team.

Notarangelo slashed .455/.571/.636 and had an OPS of 1.407 in the three games Endicott played last week in the NCAA Division III College World Series against No. 26 Lynchburg (L, 7-2), No. 9/12 Pomona-Pitzer (W, 7-6), and No. 11/13 Misericordia (12-4).

With a run and hit in each of his three games, Notarangelo was a measure of consistency for the top-ranked Gulls. Both of his extra-base hits were doubles in their win over Pomona-Pitzer, and he scored the winning run on the final play of the game.

Notarangelo is the second student-athlete in program history to claim D3baseball.com College World Series All-Tournament Team honors. He joins former high school teammate Danny MacDougall (Taunton, Mass.) who became the first Gull to ever accomplish the feat at last year's NCAA Division III Championship.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott posted a 47-4 overall record, a 13-1 conference mark, and a perfect 25-0 record at home.

The Gulls captured their third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship, won the Mansfield Regional Championship, and swept No. 6/7 Johns Hopkins (7-5, 10 inn. | 5-2) at home to punch their ticket to the College World Series for the second straight season.

At the NCAA Division III Championship, Endicott secured its first-ever victory on the game's biggest stage by defeating No. 9/12 Pomona-Pitzer, 7-6, in walk-off fashion on Saturday, June 1.

Additional milestones for this year's squad include a program record 47 wins, becoming the first varsity sport  in school history to earn a No. 1 national ranking, and a third straight New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) D3 Team of the Year award.
