MacDougall Earns Spot On D3baseball.com Team of the Week

D3BASEBALL.COM RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — No. 1 Endicott baseball's junior infielder Danny MacDougall (Taunton, Mass.) has been named to the d3baseball.com Team of the Week, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

The Team of the Week is d3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, which is in its 13th season of recognizing the top performers at all nine positions across NCAA Division III baseball from the previous week.

This is MacDougall's first career appearance on the Team of the Week. He also received his first career Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honors for his performance, as announced yesterday.

The junior Taunton native slashed .471/.526/1.235 alongside seven runs scored, five extra-base hits (a double and four home runs), 12 RBI, two walks, and a stolen base in a 3-1 week for the Gulls.

Against No. 9 Johns Hopkins (W, 14-8) on Monday, 3/18, MacDougall went 3-for-5 at the plate, launched a three-run homer, scored four times, and knocked in five (the last two stats tied career highs). The Blue Jays lost in the D3 national championship winner-take-all game last season.

MacDougall also registered three multi-hit games, three multi-RBI contests, and notched multiple extra-base hits in two matchups on the week.

In Saturday's 12-2 seven inning mercy-rule win over WNE, he launched a career-high tying two homers and registered a 2-4 day at the plate with four RBI's and two runs scored overall.
