BEVERLY, Mass. — A total of 13 members of the No. 1 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team have earned regional postseason honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com.
Senior left-handed pitcher Jordan Gottesman (Acton, Mass.), freshman right-handed pitcher Charlie Hale (Brookline, N.H.) and head coach Bryan Haley took home major regional awards as Region II's Pitcher of the Year (both D3baseball.com and ABCA), Rookie of the Year (D3baseball.com), and Coach of the Year (D3baseball.com), respectively.

JORDAN GOTTESMAN | SR. | LHP | PITCHER OF THE YEAR
Gottesman becomes the second Gull to receive All-Region Pitcher of the Year honors, and the second consecutive behind Gabe Van Emon '23 (Lexington, Mass.).
The senior left-hander has tossed a total of 80 IP with a 3.04 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP, an 11-0 record, and 104 strikeouts (11.7 K/9) in his 13 starts, all career-bests.
His 104 strikeouts are just four short of Van Emon's program-record 108 last season, and his 11 wins have already surpassed his predecessor for the program's single-season best.
The strikeout total ranks him 10th nationally, while the win total ranks third.
The southpaw's dominance was on full display when he established a new career-high in strikeouts (12) on April 27 at Hartford, as he tossed a seven-inning complete game effort in the Gulls' mercy-rule win.
This is Gottesman's first Regional award. He has repeatedly proven himself to be the top starter on the nation's top pitching staff, and will look to continue to flourish on the national stage during the Gulls' College World Series run, which begins this weekend in Eastlake, Ohio.
CHARLIE HALE | FR. | RHP | ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Hale becomes just the second Gull to receive All-Region Rookie of the Year honors, and the first since Jake Northrup (Boxborough, Mass.) in 2011.
The Brookline, N.H. native proved himself as a valuable arm very early on in the spring, making 12 appearances (eight starts) with an 8-0 record.
Over the course of the season, he has racked up 55 strikeouts in 49 IP (10.10 K/9), featuring an ERA of 2.39 (47th in NCAA) and a WHIP of 1.22.
In his collegiate debut against Salem State on March 3, the freshman tossed 4.1 innings of relief and earned the win with four strikeouts and no runs allowed.
From then on, he established himself as an important piece of the Gulls' pitching staff, and a reliable arm for Coach Haley throughout the season.
He picked up the NCAA Regional win over SUNY New Paltz on May 18, as he tossed three innings and whiffed four in a game where the New Paltz offense came in scorching hot.
Hale will be a vital piece of the Gulls' pitching staff throughout the tournament in Eastlake.
BRYAN HALEY | HEAD COACH | 18th SEASON
This is Haley's third-consecutive All-Region II Coach of the Year award.
Under his guidance, Endicott has won a program record 46 games (46-2; 25-0 at home; 13-1 CCC). He also has led the team to its second straight College World Series appearance.
He raised the program to new heights this season, securing the No. 1 national ranking in both the ABCA and D3baseball.com polls for the first time in program history and first time in Endicott's varsity sports history.
This past week, he led the Gulls to their second straight Super Regional title. Over the past two years, the team holds a 4-0 record in Super Regional play.
Additionally, his team's pitching staff and defense are tops in the nation and the offense is among the national leaders in most categories.
The quest for a national championship ramps up this weekend, as he'll attempt to bring home the college's first-ever varsity national championship from Eastlake.
WHAT'S NEXT
No. 1 Endicott (46-2) faces reigning national champion Lynchburg (35-15) in its first NCAA Division III College World Series contest this Friday, May 31 at 1:15 PM. All CWS games will be played at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio.
