Gottesman, Bagshaw Draw All-America Nods

ABCA RELEASE | D3BASEBALL.COM RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott pitchers Jordan Gottesman (Acton, Mass.) and Kyan Bagshaw (Amherst, N.H.) have each earned All-America honors.

Gottesman earned American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-American second team and D3Baseball.com All-American fifth team honors.

Meanwhile, Bagshaw was named to the D3Baseball.com All-American fifth team.

JORDAN GOTTESMAN | SR. | LHP

Gottesman added to his impressive 2024 resume with his first career All-America honors.

The senior left-hander has tossed a total of 80 innings with a 3.04 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP, an 11-0 record, and 104 strikeouts (11.7 K/9) in his 13 starts, all career-bests.

His 104 strikeouts are just four short of Gabe Van Emon '23's (Lexington, Mass.) program-record 108 last season, and his 11 wins have already surpassed his predecessor for the program's single-season best.

The strikeout total ranks him 10th nationally, while the win total ranks third.

The southpaw's dominance was on full display when he established a new career-high in strikeouts (12) on April 27 at Hartford, as he tossed a seven-inning complete game effort in the Gulls' mercy-rule win. Additionally, since the start of the CCC Playoffs, Gottesman is 1-0 in three starts and has whiffed 20 batters in his 16.2 innings of work.

He'll continue to be a vital piece of Endicott's rotation as the Gulls begin their 2024 College World Series campaign tomorrow at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio.

KYAN BAGSHAW | SO. | LHP

Bagshaw received his first career All-America honor amid his impressive season out of the bullpen for the Blue and Green.

In perhaps the best bullpen in Division III, Bagshaw was one of the most dominant arms throughout the entirety of the season. He set career-highs in appearances (19), innings pitched (30), ERA (2.10), strikeouts (38), saves (four), and WHIP (1.07).

The sophomore tied for the team lead with his four saves, which also positioned him for second-most in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

None were more impactful than when he closed out the final 1.2 innings against Tufts on April 9, slamming the door shut in a 3-1 win with his two strikeouts in a five-up, five-down appearance.

He also earned the win in the Blue and Green's 4-0 road win over No. 15 Eastern Connecticut on April 20, providing a clutch scoreless outing and fanning three out of the bullpen once again for the Gulls.

The lefty will continue to be used in high-leverage situations throughout this year's College World Series, beginning tomorrow against the defending champs Lynchburg.
