Gulls, Coach Haley Honored By NEIBA With Awards

EASTLAKE, Ohio — The Endicott baseball team and Head Coach Bryan Haley have each received major postseason awards from the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA), as announced by the league office on Friday morning.

Haley was named as the Division III Coach of the Year, while the team was named as the Division III Team of the Year.

Under Haley's guidance, the Gulls have won a program-record 46 games so far this season. The team's success has earned them the No. 1 national ranking in both the ABCA and D3baseball.com polls for the first time in program history. It is also the first time in Endicott's varsity sports history that a team has earned a No. 1 national ranking.

The 46-2 record for the Gulls places them atop the NCAA for wins and winning percentage this season (.958). Additionally, the Gulls lead the nation in ERA (2.77), WHIP (1.10), fielding percentage (.982), hits allowed per nine innings (6.62), and longest active win streak (23).

Offensively, the team ranks fourth in OBP (.442), seventh in runs (438), 15th in home runs (51), and 15th in stolen bases (127).

The overall team success has raised the program to unparallelled heights this season, and this weekend the Gulls begin their quest for their first national championship in Eastlake, Ohio.

The NEIBA Hall of Fame inductees and major award winners will be honored prior to the start of Monday's 49th Annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Joe Walsh All-Star Game. The 2024 NEIBA Joe Walsh All-Star Game is set for 12 p.m. on Monday, June 3, at DD Park in Hartford, Conn. Rosters for the all-star game will be announced soon. Admission is free to all who wish to attend.
