BEVERLY, Mass. — The top-seeded Endicott women's tennis team (10-3) hosts Nichols (8-4) in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on Saturday at 1 PM. Here's a preview of this weekend's title bout.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Endicott enters the matchup as the back-to-back defending CCC Champion.
- The Gulls are making their 12th consecutive trip to the title match, while the Bison are making their first appearance since the 2020-21 campaign.
- The Blue and Green are 7-4 in the CCC Championship over the past 11 seasons.
- Nichols fell to Endicott, 6-3, in the regular season match between the two teams on 9/24/22 in Dudley, Mass.
- This is the 10th time the Gulls and Bison have clashed in the CCC Championship match (Endicott leads 5-4; Gulls won the last matchup in 2020-21).
WHAT'S NEXT
The winner of Saturday's CCC Championship match will be named the 2022 CCC Women's Tennis Tournament Champion and will earn the league's automatic qualifier into the 2022-23 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship Tournament in the spring.
