BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's tennis team lost to NCAA Division I Stonehill, 6-3, in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at the South Campus Courts.
In doubles, the pairing of Olivia Martinelli (Coral Springs, Fla.) / Kaitlin Fitzgibbons (Nashua, N.H.) turned in a solid 8-4 win at No. 3.
Meanwhile, Olivia Berler (Marstons Mills, Mass.) and Samantha Hartmann (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.) picked up both of the Gulls' wins at singles.
Berler earned a gritty 7-5, 7-5 victory at the No. 5 spot, while Hartmann made quick work of her opponent at No. 6 (6-1, 6-1).

"The match had a nice atmosphere, with a lot of parents, friends, and alumni coming by. It's frustrating to lose, but at the same time, we did a nice job applying what we've been working on in practice," said Endicott women's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Hartmann earned her first collegiate victory.
- Berler is 2-0 in singles so far this season (No. 5, 1-0 | No. 6, 1-0).
- Martinelli and Fitzgibbons are 1-0 in doubles play early on this fall.

Endicott (1-1) travels to Suffolk on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30 PM. Stonehill (3-0) competes at the Wellesley Invitational on Friday, September 16.
