BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott sophomore Ripley Uyeda (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) has received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Uyeda made her 2022-23 debut against Colby-Sawyer on Saturday (Sept. 3) playing in the No. 1 spot in both doubles and singles.
She played two tight matches, but emerged victorious in both.
First, at No. 1 doubles, she earned an 8-7 victory as a result of a 10-8 tiebreaker. She then dropped the first set in singles, 4-6, before coming back to win the second and third sets by scores of 6-3 and 7-5, respectively, to earn the point for the Gulls.
Endicott claimed the 8-1 win in the opener.
This is Uyeda's first career CCC Player of the Week award.
