Uyeda Named CCC Player Of The Week

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's tennis sophomore Ripley Uyeda (Ranchos Palos Verdes, Calif.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Uyeda helped Endicott wrap up the CCC Regular Season title last week, as the Gulls went 2-0 in conference play and 2-1 overall.

Uyeda earned two points in a crucial CCC match against Roger Williams with both schools coming into the contest undefeated in conference play. Uyeda was victorious at No. 1 doubles, 8-2, before picking up a straight-set win at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-4, as the Gulls earned the CCC sweep.

The sophomore Gull was also in the top spots in a non-conference contest against Bates. She earned the Gulls' only doubles point in the match with an 8-5 win.

This is Uyeda's second career CCC Player of the Week award.
