BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team begins its 2024 campaign at home this Saturday against Lasell at 12 PM. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Gulls enter the season as the second ranked team, according to the Conference of New England's (CNE) inaugural preseason coaches poll. The 2023 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason coaches poll also ranked the Gulls second, prior to their conference championship run.
- Seniors Elizabeth Healy (Plymouth, Mass.), Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.), Carly Matthews (Suffield, Conn.), and Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) were named as captains of this year's squad.
- The Blue and Green returns a large portion of last year's defensive unit, which led the conference in almost every category including goals allowed (13 total, 0.59 per game).
- Each of the top five scorers from last year— Jewett, Rischitelli, Ella Morgan (Salem, Mass.), Healy, and Samantha Klimas (North Andover, Mass.)— return to Head Coach Jodi Kenyon's team this season.
- The Gulls will face two teams ranked inside the United States Soccer Coaches Preseason Rankings, and three teams that reached the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
