BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team piled on the offensive pressure but was ultimately defeated by Babson, 1-0, Tuesday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team piled on the offensive pressure but was ultimately defeated by Babson, 1-0, Tuesday evening at Hempstead Stadium.
Despite the Gulls outshooting the visitors 11-4 in the first half, the Beavers captured the lead in the 29th minute and did not look back.
The Gulls continually applied the pressure in the second half with 14 shots, but were unable to find the equalizer.
Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.) and the Endicott defense limited Babson to just six shots total in the contest.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Babson holds an 8-6-2 lead in the all-time series against the Gulls.
- The Blue and Green have limited opponents to no more than six shots in the last four games.
- The Gulls outshot the Beavers 25-6 in the matchup.
- Chloe Bauman (Southington, Conn.), Michelle Donahue (Melrose, Mass.), Carly Matthews (Suffield, Conn.) all played the full 90 minutes.
- Matthews and Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.) led the Endicott offense with three shots each.
