BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's soccer senior goalkeeper Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.) has been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The senior was a force in the net throughout the Gulls' two contests last week. She snatched a total of five saves in her 180 minutes of play, keeping opponents Emerson and Mount Holyoke off the board in both contests. The efforts resulted in her third and fourth shutouts of the season.
At Emerson on Wednesday, September 11, she picked up three saves in the scoreless contest, highlighted by a terrific game-saving play late in the matchup.
In another scoreless tie on Saturday, September 14, she added two more saves at Mount Holyoke, keeping the Lyons off the board whenever they threatened.
This marks Caliri's third career conference Defensive Player of the Week award (9/18/23, 10/23/23).
