MILTON, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team scored two crucial goals in the second half to prevail 3-1 over Conference of New England (CNE) opponent Curry College on Friday evening at Walter M. Katz Field.
The Gulls struck first in the 34th minute as Gabrielle Klindtworth (Guilderland, N.Y.) beat the keeper to the ball and headed in her second tally of the season off of a perfectly placed Michelle Donahue (Melrose, Mass.) cross.
A few minutes later, the Colonels found the equalizer, and the two teams headed off to halftime all knotted up, 1-1.
Ten minutes into the second half, Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.) beat a pair of Curry defenders and sent a pass through to Morgan Hubert (Southington, Conn.), who slotted the ball into the bottom left corner to regain the lead for the Gulls.
Jewett then provided some insurance in the 59th, as she lofted a ball from the left corner that was just out of reach of the Curry goalkeeper and snuck into the far side of the net after combining with Hannah Lord (Bedford, N.H.) on a short corner play.
From there, the Blue and Green outpossessed the hosts for the remainder of the contest, solidifying their 3-1 road win.
Samantha MacCormack (Danvers, Mass.) made her second career start in net and scooped up two saves off of three shots faced.
