SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team played to a scoreless tie against Mount Holyoke on Saturday afternoon at Mount Holyoke College Soccer Field.
The Gulls outpaced the Lyons in the contest, having outshout them 16-0 in the first half alone. Perhaps the best scoring opportunity of the opening stanza came in the 27th minute, when consecutive shots were fired up from Michelle Donahue (Melrose, Mass.) and Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.), both of which were saved by the Lyons' goalkeeper.
In the second, it was more of the same for the Blue and Green. The shot differential was 13-5 in Endicott's favor, but still nobody was able to find the back of the net in the contest.
The Gulls' defensive unit once again proved their dominance, as they allowed just two shots on net in the contest, both saved by Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.) in another shutout effort.
