Beverly, MA - The Endicott women's soccer team completed their regular season with a 5-0 victory over St. Joseph's College of Maine on Wednesday night. The Gulls improved to 15-3-0 on the season and will begin conference playoffs on Saturday.
Senior Caitlin D'Amario opened the scoring just three minutes into the game with a strike from 20 yards that sailed over the arms of the Monks goalkeeper Shannon Northrop. Endicott continued to press and opened up a 3-0 advantage heading into halftime. Senior Kim Shields finished with a volley in the box from a throw in by Junior Sarah Miller at the 13 minute mark. The Gulls continued their dominance as Junior Ashley Clark found the back of the net on an assist from sweeper Staci Wiencko.
In the second half Shields got Gulls rolling again as she positioned herself on the back end of a cross from D'Amario. Shields avoided collision with the St. Joe's goalkeeper and ran the ball into the net for her second goal of the game. Junior Erica Hunt capped off the scoring calmly finishing an open net strike that was sent to her from freshman Caitlin Flynn. The Gulls held a 14-9 advantage in shots while Senior goalkeeper Tina Loguidice collected her eighth shut out of the season.
