ONEONTA, NY - Endicott junior striker and reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference MVP Paula McGinn scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in a 2-1 triumph over Ithaca College that vaulted the Gulls to the Erinn Brozman Memorial Cup title Sunday afternoon at Hartwick College.
After the Bombers opened the scoring less than five minutes into the contest, McGinn knotted the score by redirecting a Sarah Miller ((Nashua, NH/Bishop Geurtin)) free kick at the 7:53 mark. McGinn then recorded the game-winner less than eight minutes later when she deposited a loose ball into the back of the net following a scramble in front of the Ithaca goal mouth.
Senior netminder Tina Loguidice ((Hyde Park, NY/F.D. Roosevelt)) picked up the victory for EC while Miller recorded her third assist in two days.
The Gulls will be back in action Wednesday night when they host Wheaton College at Endicott Stadium (7:30 PM).
