BEVERLY, MA - Paula McGinn (Lynn, MA/Lynn Classical) scored two early goals to lead the Gulls to a 7-0 win over the Anna Maria Amcats Saturday afternoon.
McGinn scored just 36-seconds into play to give the Gulls the early lead. She would add another goal four minutes later to put EC up 2-0, from there it was all Endicott as the Gulls would go on to score six first half goals securing the win.
McGinn also added an assist on EC's third goal when she found Margreta Weber (Bedford, NH/Manchester West) 8:50 into the first half. Endicott picked up two goals from freshmen Caitlin Flynn (Mattituck, NY/Southold) along with a goal from Ashley Clark (West Newbury, MA/Pentucket Reg.) to close out the first half scoring.
The Gulls would add one more goal in the second half when Sarah Miller (Nashua, NH/Bishop Guertin) sent a through ball past the Amcat defense and onto the foot of McGinn who picked up yet another hat trick.
Caitlin D'Amario (East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) added two assists for EC while Kelly Dillon (Franklin, MA/Franklin) and Shannon Pilsbury (Montclair, NJ/Montclair) also added helpers.
Despite the score Anna Maria goalkeeper Karine Almeida (Brockton, MA/Brockton) played well in net making 20 saves in the game.
EC improves to 10-1 on the year and runs its CCC winning streak to 32 consecutive games. Anna Maria falls to 6-5. The Gulls will head down the road to take on rivals Gordon College, Tuesday night in their next contest.
