BEVERLY, MA - Paula McGinn (Lynn, MA/Lynn Classical) scored four goals to carry the Gulls to a 6-1 win over the Salve Regina Seahawks.
McGinn opened the games scoring just 4:30 into the game, as she redirected a centering pass from Erica Hunt (Colchester, VT/Colchester) into the back of the net.
McGinn would put the Gulls up 2-0 just under 10-minutes later when she out ran the Seahawk defense and scored on a breakaway. EC kept the pressure on throughout the first half as freshmen Cali Collin (Plattsburgh, NY/Plattsburgh) one timed a pass from Caitlin Flynn (Mattituck, NY/Southold) past SRU goalkeeper Andrea Rand (Rochester, MA/Rochester).
Ashley Clark (West Newbury, MA/Pentucket Reg.) gave Endicott a 4-0 lead going into the half as she scored on a pass from Kelly Dillon (Franklin, MA/Franklin).
EC would add two more goals in the second half secure the victory. McGinn notched her 20 and 21 goals of the season, giving her four goals on the day. Margreta Weber (Bedford, NH/Manchester West) would find McGinn inside the Seahawk penalty area to give the Gulls a commanding 5-0 lead. McGinn would add a fourth goal just over two minutes later on another breakaway.
Salve Regina would add a goal late in the second half when Laura McPhee (Merrimack, NH/Merrimack) as she converted on a penalty kick after being taken down in the box, making the final score 6-1.
Endicott improves to 12-1 overall and 9-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference play. The Gulls head to Lewiston, ME to take on the Bates Bobcats on Monday before playing Nichols on the road on Wednesday. EC returns home next Saturday for Homecoming, where the Gulls will take on the University of New England
