SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After capturing their seventh consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship, Endicott’s women’s lacrosse team swept the final weekly awards of the 2012 season, which were announced on Tuesday by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

Senior Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.) was named the Offensive Player of the Week and classmate Leah Neff (South Berwick, Maine) earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.

This is the second time this year that each of these players has earned weekly recognition from the CCC.

From her attack position, Davis helped top seeded Endicott overcome a one-goal halftime deficit by netting six goals in the second-half of the CCC Tournament semifinal, lifting the Gulls to a 16-10 victory over \#5 Roger Williams. In the 2012 CCC Championship, Davis scored a hat trick to help the Gulls win 20-14 over \#3 Gordon. She also grabbed five ground balls and won nine draw controls in the title game.

Neff, a senior goalkeeper, made seven saves apiece in the semifinal and title game victories. Neff earned her third consecutive CCC title as the Gull’s starting keeper and last month was named the CCC Defensive Player of the Year.

The Gulls are headed for the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse tournament with the automatic bid from the CCC. They will travel to Waterville, Maine on Wednesday night for a first round meeting with the Mules of Colby College at 7:00 PM.
