For the seventh straight season, the Endicott women’s lacrosse team will be competing in the NCAA Division III Tournament and their opponent in the opening round of will be Colby College out of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) on Wednesday, May 9th at 7PM on the road in Waterville, Maine (Colby's Bill Alfond Field).

The winner of the Endicott (12-5) and Colby (13-2) game will face either Messiah (15-3) or RPI (16-1) on either May 12th or 13th at a site to be determined.  

The ninth-ranked team in NCAA Division III, Colby saw their NESCAC Tournament run end in the quarterfinals with a 9-4 loss to Hamilton which halted two significant streaks for the Mules' women's lacrosse program.  Colby had made five straight NESCAC Championship Games and had won 15 games in-a-row at home until their loss to the seven-seed Hamilton.  

The Gulls and Mules have four common opponents on their schedule from 2012: University of New England, Southern Maine, Tufts, and Bates.  Endicott went 2-2 with wins over UNE (15-4) and Southern Maine (19-5) while losing to Tufts (7-14) and Bates (6-14).  Colby went undefeated against all four teams (UNE, 16-5; Southern Maine, 19-3; Tufts, 11-10; Bates,  10-8).
 
In 2011, the Gulls hosted a First Round game for the second time in program history when they played Tufts at Endicott Stadium.  In their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance back in 2006, Endicott hosted Colorado College after going 17-2 following their CCC Championship victory.  The Gulls went on the road from 2007-10, visiting Trinity (Conn.), Amherst, Williams, and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. 
 
Each of Endicott’s six previous NCAA Tournament appearances have been through an automatic qualifying bid.  They are 0-6 in all six tournament games.
