GRAND LAKE, Co. – For the second consecutive year, Endicott women's lacrosse players Morgan DeShaw (Danville, N.H.) and Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.) have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Pilgrim Region teams.
DeShaw, a graduating senior and Endicott's leading scorer from the attack position, was named to the First Team while Davis, a junior midfielder earned Second Team recognition. For DeShaw, it is the third straight year she has been named to the IWLCA All Region squad.
DeShaw led the Gulls with 58 goals and 28 assists for 86 points. She scored six times in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship game to help Endicott defeat Gordon 20-14 and win their seventh consecutive CCC women's lacrosse championship.
Davis scored 52 goals this year, second on the team and assisted on ten. She led the Gulls with 84 draw controls and also picked up 24 ground balls.
Two-hundred and twenty-four student-athletes in Division III were honored with a selection on one of the All-Regional teams for 2012. These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on May 24. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on June 16, 2012 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.
