CLERMONT, Fla. – Endicott’s women’s lacrosse game ended their two game stint in Florida with a big 12-6 win over regional rival Springfield College. Endicott got three goals and an assist from Kelly Tierney (South Hadley, Mass.) while improving to 2-1 on the season.

Caitlin Pratt (Bow, N.H.) got the scoring started less than three minutes into the game for Endicott, who scored six times in each half.

Tierney netted the next two goals for Endicott and completed her hat trick with the final tally of the afternoon.

Coming out of the half, Callie Murphy (Woburn, Mass.) netted twice in the first five minutes and senior Morgan DeShaw (Danville, N.H.) tallied the next two goals for Endicott. Junior Holly Davis (Guilford, Conn.) netted once in each half for Endicott, to give her seven goals on the year.

Davis and Rachel Campos (Shrewsbury, Mass.) each grabbed three draw controls to lead the Gulls. Lauren Todd (Newfields, N.H.), and Michelle Loizzo (Longmeadow, Mass.), who each scored first half goals for the Gulls, led Endicott with four ground balls apiece.

DeShaw led Endicott with two assists, while Loizzo, Davis and Todd also dished out helpers.

Senior goalie Leah Neff (South Berwick, Maine) made twelve stops in net and grabbed four ground balls.

Endicott returns north but only as far as R.I., where they will face their first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) test of the year with a 12:00 pm date with Salve Regina on Saturday.

The Pride see their 2012 record even up at 2-2. Springfield will play on Thursday morning at 10:00 am against Stevens in Clermont.
