BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College freshman guard Emily St. Thomas (Sterling, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Last weekend against Westfield State University, St. Thomas had her best game of the young season in her only game played on the week. The freshman compiled career-highs in points (13), assists (2), steals (4), and minutes played (20) off the bench in Endicott's 77-72 comeback win over the Owls.
Along with her box score totals, St. Thomas played a key role down the stretch in the come-from-behind victory for the Gulls as the freshman guard scored seven of her 13 points after Endicott fell behind as many as six points (50-44) with 4:05 remaining in the third quarter.
