BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Endicott women's basketball team lost to Babson College, 72-42, on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Staake Gymnasium.
Freshman guard Emily St. Thomas (Sterling, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts with a team-high nine points and a game-high/career-high six steals.
Olivia Duncan (Essex Junction, Vt.) also added a season-high eight points (4-for-5 FG), four rebounds, and two assists, while Lexi Gellerman (West Hartford, Conn.) filled the stat sheet with six points, seven rebounds (three offensive), one assist, and a steal.
Leading 14-10 with 1:22 to play in the first quarter, Babson pulled away from Endicott with a 21-8 run to close out the first half and never looked back. As a team, the Beavers outrebounded the Gulls on the glass, 57-34, and shot 45.7 percent (32-for-70) from the floor (third highest output this season).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Babson played its first home game of the season today (0-2 road, 3-2 neutral, 1-0 home).
- The six steals by St. Thomas rank tied for No. 15 all-time in a single-game in program history.
- Today's matchup was only the third in all-time series between the two programs and first meeting since January 15, 2009.
- The Gulls won the last contest prior to today by a 69-54 score at home.

Endicott (4-6) travels to MIT on Saturday, January 4 at 2 PM. Babson (4-4) hosts on Wesleyan in the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament on Saturday, January 4 at 1 PM.
