Russo’s Eight Goal Effort Propels Gulls Past Salve Regina, 18-5

MIDDLETOWN, R.I – The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Salve Regina, 18-5, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon in rainy conditions at Gaudet Field. 

Domenic Russo (Northborough, Mass.) highlighted all scorers with a career-high eight goals in the contest.

Meanwhile, Nick Pagluiso (Shelton, Conn.) facilitated the Gulls' attack by distributing a career-high seven assists, to go along with a solo tally, in the victory. 

Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) also contributed a career-best four goals, while Jack Damon (Portsmouth, R.I) found the back of the net twice to round out the list of multi-goal scorers for the Gulls.

Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J), Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.), and Nate Cuttitta (Williston, Vt.) all buried solo tallies to account for the rest of the scoring in the contest.

In goal, Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.) stopped seven shots to improve to 5-4 overall on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Russo is the first Gull to score eight goals in a game since Will Jennings (Danvers, Mass.) accomplished the feat on 4/5/17.
  • Russo's eight goals rank tied for eighth all-time in single-game program history.
  • Pagluiso's seven assists rank tied for third all-time in single-game program history.
  • Endicott remains undefeated in the all-time series versus Salve Regina (28-0).

Endicott (5-4, 2-0 CCC) hosts Montclair St. on Wednesday, April 5 at 4 PM. Salve Regina (5-4, 1-1 CCC) hosts Gordon on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30 PM.
