BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's lacrosse senior goalie Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Luciano was instrumental in a big win for the Gulls over MIT last week (2/24). He made a career-high 20 stops in goal, leading his team to a 15-13 victory against the Engineers. His 20 saves bested his previous mark by six.
MIT, picked as the favorite in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), were served its first loss of the season.
Last year, the Engineers went 17-1 with their only loss coming in the third round of the NCAA Tournament against eventual national champion RIT.
This is Luciano's first career CCC weekly award.
