Men’s Lacrosse Downs Keene State In Season Opener, 14-8

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Keene State, 14-8, in non-conference action on Saturday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) paced the Gulls with a career-high four tallies.

Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) and Max Kesicki (Katonah, N.Y.) both registered hat tricks, while Nate Cuttitta (Williston, Vt.), Jaden Elsinger (Richmond, Vt.), Domenic Russo (Northborough, Mass.), and Domenic Valera (Fitchburg, Mass.) all found the back of the net once in the win.

Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.) stopped 12 shots to earn the win in goal (11-4-0 career).

Tied 6-6 entering the third quarter, the Gulls produced a 6-0 run that spilled into the fourth quarter and never looked back (3rd — 6:48 to 4th — 13:10).

Tyksinski (3rd — 6:48, 3:24) and Kesicki (3rd — 4:49 | 4th — 13:10) both scored twice during the spurt, while Fernandez (3rd — 00:20, man up) and Cuttitta (4th — 13:47) buried solo tallies, respectively.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 5-1 all-time against Keene State.
  • The Gulls have won the last four matchups.
  • Tyksinski netted his first collegiate goal along with notching his first collegiate hat trick.
  • Kesicki compiled his fifth career hat trick (single-game career-high is six goals).

Endicott (1-0) hosts MIT on Friday, February 24 at 4 PM. Keene State (0-1) welcomes Western New England to its campus next Tuesday at 4 PM.
