Six Gulls Earn CNE Postseason Honors

CNE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's ice hockey team has received six all-conference honors (two first team, one second team, and three third team) to go with one Community Service Team member in its 2024 Conference of New England (CNE) postseason awards.

Graduate students Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) and A.J. Martinelli (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) both were named to the All-CNE First team, while Ryan Willett (Bayville, N.Y.) was the Gulls' lone member of the All-CNE Second team.

Meanwhile, Domenic Garozzo (Sewell, N.J.)Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.), and Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.) earned All-CNE Third Team honors.

Lastly, Jack Smiley (Washington Crossing, Pa.) was named as the Gulls' representative on the CNE Community Service Team for his charitable contributions and outstanding leadership within the Endicott community.


ALL-CNE FIRST TEAM

Andrew Kurapov | Gr. | F | Corvallis, Ore.

In 27 games this season for the Gulls, Kurapov has tallied 14 goals and added 14 assists for 28 points. He also has a plus-16 rating.

The graduate student's 14 goals are a career-high, and he has recorded four power-play goals, ranking sixth in the CNE.

The Corvallis, Ore. native CNE ranks include the following categories/stats: goals (4th), assists (7th), points (5th), faceoff wins (3rd with 262), goals per game (6th), points per game (6th), and game-winning goals (4th).

Kurapov is the first student-athlete in program history to earn three consecutive First Team All-Conference honors. 


A.J. Martinelli | Gr. | D | Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.

In 25 games so far this season, Martinelli has scored one goal to go with nine assists for 10 points. The graduate student also has a plus-16 rating.

Martinelli's play aided the Gulls to a 2.07 goals against average which ranks third in the conference. Out of 85 teams in NCAA Division III, Endicott ranked 9th nationally in scoring defense, along with the seventh-best penalty-killing unit in the country.

Only seven defensemen were selected across the three teams.

This is Martinelli's first career All-Conference selection.


ALL-CNE SECOND TEAM

Ryan Willett | Sr. | F | Bayville, N.Y.

In 27 games for the Endicott this season, Willett potted nine goals to go with 24 assists for 33 points. He also has a plus-20 rating this season.

The senior set new career highs in both goals and points, while tying his career high in assists. Willett became the sixth player in program history to accomplish 100 career points when he scored vs Wentworth on 2/26/25. 

The Bayville, N.Y. native leads the CNE in assists while also ranking fourth in points, second in assists per game, fourth in points per game, and sixth in plus-minus. 

This is Willett's first career All-Conference selection.


ALL-CNE THIRD TEAM

Domenic Garozzo | Sr. | F | Sewell, N.J.

In 24 games this season, Garozzo has netted 17 goals and added seven assists for 24 points. The senior also has a plus-14 rating this season.

He has set new career highs in both goals, points, and plus-minus this season to go with five game-winning goals, which leads the conference and is tied for first all-time for game-winning goals in a single season.

Garozzo ranks second in the CNE for goals, while also eighth in points, fourth in power play goals, second in goals per game, and eighth in points per game. The Sewell, N.J. native is fifth nationally in game-winning goals and ranks eighth in goals per game.

This is Garozzo's first career All-Conference selection.


Atticus Kelly| Sr. | G | St. Paul, Minn.

Kelly has compiled a 13-4-0 overall record (8-2-0 CNE), a 1.99 goals against average (GAA), a .929 save percentage, and 429 saves in 995:53 of action (17 GP | 16 GS).

The senior's CNE ranks include the following categories/stats: GAA (3rd), save percentage (3rd), saves (6th), and saves per game (5th).

Nationally, Kelly is positioned No. 16 in GAA, No. 20 in save percentage, and No. 14 in winning percentage.

The honor marks Kelly's second career All-Conference selection after being named to the Third team last season.


Primo Self | Jr. | F | Grand Rapids, Mich.

Self has scored 13 goals and has 14 assists for 27 points. Also has a plus-14 rating this season.

The Grand Rapids, Mich. native set career highs in goals, assists, and points, including three power-play goals and three game-winning goals.

Self's CNE ranks include: sixth in goals, eighth in assists, sixth in points, 10th in goals per game, seventh in points per game, and fifth in game-winning goals.

This is Morris' second career All-Conference selection after earning First-team honors last season.


WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott has a record of 19-7-1 and a conference record of 14-3-1. After defeating Wentworth, 3-2 (OT) in the CNE First Round and UNE, 4-3 (OT) in the CNE Semifinals, the Gulls will take on Curry in the CNE Championship on Saturday, March 8 at 3 PM.
