Comeback Bid Falls Short For No. 13 Gulls At Bowdoin, 3-2 OT

BRUNSWICK, Maine — The No. 13 Endicott men's ice hockey team lost to Bowdoin, 3-2 OT, in non-conference action on Tuesday night at Watson Arena.

Trailing 2-0 early in the third period, Dominic Garozzo (Sewell, N.J.) and Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.) both scored on the power play (11:02, 16:34) to even up the contest and force the eventual extra session.

Bowdoin wasted little time finding the game-winner, however, as Jack Barbro (Loudonville, N.Y.) potted his first goal of the season on a wrap-around just 1:42 into overtime to earn the victory in its home opener.

Ryan Wilson (Shelton, Conn.) stopped 28 shots in the loss (2-2-0).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Tonight's game was only the second meeting all-time between the programs (1-1-0).
  • Endicott played in its fifth overtime game this season (3-2-0).
  • Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) dished out the primary assist on Self's game-tying goal for his 99th career point.
