Men’s Ice Hockey Downs No. 10 UNE, 8-1

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated No. 10 University of New England (UNE), 8-1, on Saturday evening in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) and Payton Miller (Flemington, N.J.) scored twice to highlight the offense.

Brad Zona (Auburn, Mass.), Jackson Sterrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.), Domonic Garozzo (Sewell, N.J.), and Cody Hoban (Guilford, Conn.) also found the back of the net in the victory.

In goal, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) improved his record to 2-1-0 on the season (23-5-5 career) with 25 saves in 52:22 between the pipes.

Krystian Jaks (Bellinzona, Switzerland) finished off the final 7:38 of the game, and stopped four shots.

  • Endicott leads the all-time series (10-9-5).
  • Most goals scored (8) by either team in series history.
  • The previous record was seven goals by the Gulls in their 7-3 road win on 12/1/18.
  • UNE was ranked No. 5 in the country at that time.

  • Miller buried his first collegiate goal and notched his first career multi-goal contest.
