MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — The No. 10 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team fell to Wesleyan (Conn.), 3-2, in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night inside Spurrier-Snyder Arena.
Domenic Garozzo (Sewell, N.J.) got the Gulls on the board first via pinpoint passes from Michael Casey (Media, Pa.) and A.J. Martinelli (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) to take a 1-0 advantage with 11:45 to play in the opening period.
From there, Jackson Sterrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.) found Ben Jenkinson (Nantucket, Mass.) at the doorstep following an odd-man rush off a defensive end turnover by Wesleyan to capture a 2-0 lead.
The Cardinals later scored two straight tallies to knot the game at 2-2 at the end of the second period.
In the final period, Hayden Hanes (Greenwich, Conn.) netted the game-winning goal for the Cardinals to get their first home victory of the season.
In goal for the Gulls, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) stopped 39 shots in the defeat and fell to 7-3-0 on the 2024-25 campaign.
