EVERETT, Mass. — The No. 10 Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Wentworth, 7-3, on Friday night at Allied Veterans Rink.
The Gulls erased a pair of one-goal deficits in the first (1-0, 0:34 | 2-1, 13:43) to rally past Wentworth.
Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) and Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.) buried tallies in the opening frame (11:18, 17:44), deadlocking the contest at 2-2 before intermission.
In the second period, Jack Costanzo (Gloucester, Mass.), Jackson Sterrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.), Cody Hoban (Guilford, Conn.), and A.J. Martinelli (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) all found the back of the net to push Endicott's goal-scoring run to five straight (1:35, 8:51, 16:05, 18:12).
Wentworth stopped the offensive outburst at 8:59 of the third, but Endicott responded with an empty net strike from Domenic Garozzo (Sewell, N.J.) at 15:27 for the final marker by either team.
In goal, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) made 20 saves to improve to 8-3-0 on the season (29-7-5 all-time).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Gulls are 21-3-0 all-time against Wentworth (8-2-0 road, won last eight in series).
- Martinelli potted his first career goal (91st game).
- He is three games shy of tying Ross Olsson for 10th all-time on the games played leaderboard (Kurapov is 9th, 101 games).
- Self produced his second career three-point night (1g-2a; tied career-high).
