BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's ice hockey team has been ranked No. 3 overall in the final USCHO Poll of the 2022-23 season. It marks the highest national ranking in a year-end poll in program history.
Endicott concluded the year with a 23-3-2 overall record (.857) and an 18-1-2 conference mark (.905) to highlight a long list of achievements this past season.
Highlights from the 2022-23 campaign included:
- The Gulls captured their third conference championship in program history with a 6-0 win over No. 5 Curry in the CCC Championship on March 4
- Earned a bye into the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history
- Hosted their first-ever NCAA Tournament game versus No. 9 Norwich on March 18
- Became the first sport in Endicott Athletics history to advance to the semifinal round of the NCAA Tournament with a 3-0 victory over No. 9 Norwich
- Selected to host the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey National Championship,
- It also marked the first national championship ever hosted by the College
- Fell one win shy of tying the school record for overall victories (24-4-2 in 2016-17)
- Posted a CCC record 18 league wins, breaking the previous mark by one victory and the program's record by two
