BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 4 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team is set to host No. 5 Curry in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship game on Saturday, March 4 at 2 PM. Here's a preview of the championship matchup at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Saturday's contest will feature the highest nationally ranked matchup in CCC Championship history (any sport).
  • The Gulls and Colonels are also ranked No. 3 and No. 4 in the PairWise, respectively.
  • In terms of scoring offense, Curry ranks fourth in the country (4.38 GPG) in the category, while Endicott is fifth (4.28 GPG).
  • Colonels' junior forward Timmy Kent (Parkland, Fla.) is positioned fifth in the country in points per game (1.62).
  • Endicott holds a 14-5-1 advantage in the all-time series over Curry; however, three out of the last four matchups in the all-time series have gone to overtime (Endicott 2-0-1 in those OT contests).

WHAT'S NEXT

The winner of Saturday's contest will be crowned the CCC Champion and earn the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

It is highly likely that the loser of Saturday's matchup will earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament based on the combination of both team's season resumes and PairWise rankings.
