BIDDEFORD, Maine — The No. 4 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated No. 14 University of New England (UNE), 6-3, in conference action on Friday night at the Harold Alfond Forum.
The Gulls scored two goals in every period and went 3-for-4 on the power play to push their winning streak to 11 straight games.
Ryan Willett (Bayville, N.Y.) and Connor Amsley (Carlisle, Pa.) both scored in the first period (PP — 7:29 | SH — 12:01), while Jackson Sterrett (Henderson, Tenn.) and Noah Strawn (Wareham, Mass.) found the back of the net in the second (PP — 5:10 | 9:59).
Cass Bowes (Sturgeon County, Alberta) and Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) followed with tallies in the third (PP — 12:16 | EN — 18:10) to cap the scoring and push Endicott's record to 7-0-0 on the road this season.
In goal, Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) stopped 20 shots in the victory (7-0-0).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Gulls are 5-8-3 all-time against UNE.
- Endicott's six-goal effort marks the second-highest output for the Gulls in a single game versus the Nor'easters (W, 7-3, 12/1/18) in the all-time series.
- Willett is tied for the team lead in goals with 16.
