SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Endicott's senior midfielder Emily Whitney (Rye, N.H.) and freshman midfielder Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.) took home Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, for the week of April 3 to April 9, 2017 as announced today by the conference office.
CCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Whitney, a first-time honoree this season, led Endicott in scoring (12 goals, five assists) on the week as the Gulls picked up three more dominating conference victories to improve to 8-3 overall and 5-0 in conference play. She scored four goals in each of Endicott's contests, including a season-high seven points in the team's record-breaking win over Wentworth (26-2) on Monday. Whitney also scooped up nine ground balls, won four draw controls, and caused five turnovers on the week.
CCC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Lacroix, the reigning newcomer of the week, paced the Gulls' rookies in scoring and was second on the team with 15 points (11 goals, four assists), while converting 91.7 percent of her shots. Lacroix put in an all-around effort in helping Endicott earn three more conference victories in decisive fashion, as she scooped up eight ground balls, caused four turnovers, and won a team-high 18 draw controls overall.

Endicott (8-3, 5-0 CCC) returns to action tomorrow afternoon as the Gulls welcome Salve Regina University to Hempstead Stadium for a 4:00 p.m. start on Tuesday, April 11th.
