Endicott Places A School Record 83 Student-Athletes On CCC Spring Academic All-Conference List

2017 Spring CCC Academic All-Conference 

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has announced its Spring Academic All-Conference Team, which includes 566 student-athletes from all 10-member institutions and three affiliate programs. Endicott led the way among all 13 schools represented on the list with a school record 83 student-athletes recognized for their work in the classroom.

In order to be recognized as a member of the Spring Academic All-Conference Team a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) and must also have attained sophomore status.
 
The spring list of teams includes baseball, men's basketball, men's golf, men's ice hockey, men's lacrosse, men's swimming & diving, men's tennis, men's track & field, softball, women's basketball, women's lacrosse, women's swimming & diving, and women's track & field.
 
Of the 83 Endicott student-athletes named to the list, Max Motroni (West Warwick, R.I.) and Jamie Zompa (Marlborough, Mass.) highlighted the group as the College's Scholar-Athlete Award winners. Also represented among the remainder of the student-athletes are baseball Player and Pitcher of the Year honorees Mike Kochiss (Fairfield, Conn.) and Kevin Gould (Rollinsford, N.H.), in addition to women's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) and softball all-region selection Emily Sharpe (South Glens Falls, N.Y.).
 
In total, Endicott saw 153 student-athletes claim CCC Academic All-Conference honors in the 2016-17 academic year when counting the Gulls' school record 70 student-athletes selected to the list in the fall.
