Endicott Doubles Up Keene St. In Florida, 12-6

RAPID REACTION W/ BELLA RINO

CLERMONT, Fla. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team doubled up the Keene St. Owls, 12-6, Monday afternoon at the National Training Center in the first of two Spring Break games for the Gulls.

Senior attack Meghan Lennon (Canton, Mass.) netted a game-high four goals in the first half as Endicott led 7-0 at the break.

The Gulls led by as much as 12-2 with 14:11 remaining in the game as sophomore defender Julia Strycharz (Lyme, Conn.) notched her first goal of the season (third career) on one of Endicott's 4-of-6 converted free-position goals in the game.

Senior midfielder Emily Whitney (Rye, N.H) and freshman attack Meghan Dutchyshyn (Cheshire, Conn.) each potted a pair of tallies. Sophomore midfielder Ali Campbell (Lakeville, Mass.), junior attack Jess Glenn (Underhill, Vt.), and junior midfielder Olivia Larson (Cheshire, Conn.), rounded out the scoring for the Gulls.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Senior goalkeeper Maura Grady (Marblehead, Mass.) improved to 3-1 on the season as she made five saves with a first half shutout before giving way to sophomore Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) to begin the second stanza.
  • Rino finished with five saves, two of which came on free-position chances.
  • Lennon now has three games this season tallying three or more goals and leads the team with 12 on the year.
  • Lennon, Campbell, junior attack Erin McCarthy (Old Lyme, Conn.), and freshman midfielder Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.) each dished out one assist, while sophomore attack Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.) led the way with two feeds.
  • Lennon scooped up a game-high (tied) four ground balls for the Gulls.

FOR THE FOES

  • Keene St. closed out the game on a 4-0 run.
  • The Owls received two goals apiece from sophomore midfielder Chelsea Lewis (Londonderry, N.H.), junior midfielder Tori Weinstock (Brookfield, Conn.), and junior midfielder Taylor Farland (Fiskdale, Mass.).
  • Freshman attack Gabby Smith (Laconia, N.H.) earned one assist on a feed to Farland.
  • Senior attack Kelly Chadnick (Brewster, N.Y.) also totaled one assist.
  • Weinstock scooped up a game-high (tied) four ground balls and caused a game-high five turnovers.
  • Farland won a game-best five draw controls.
  • Senior goalie Alison Argiro (Hingham, Mass.) fell to 0-4 on the season as she made seven saves while giving up 10 goals.
  • Sophomore Anna O'Brien (Winchester, Mass.) came in with 21:00 left in the game and stopped one shot and two allowed goals.
  • The Owls won eight second half draw controls to Endicott's four in the second half.

NOTES

  • Endicott is now 6-4 all-time against the Owls.
  • The Gulls have won the past five meetings in a row, including a 13-10 victory in Beverly, Mass. on March 4, 2009 in the most recent meeting before today.
