Women’s Lacrosse Places Six On IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

2017 IWLCA ZAG SPORTS DIVISION III ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team has landed six student-athletes on the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll. It was announced by the organization yesterday evening.

The six student-athletes named to the list were Chelsea Burke (Georgetown, Mass.), Cailee Fairchild (Haddam, Conn.), Olivia Larson (Cheshire, Conn.), Meghan Lennon (Canton, Mass.), Cassidy Merrill (Buxton, Maine), and Emily Whitney (Rye, N.H.).To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott posted a 14-5 overall record and 8-0 mark in conference play en route to capturing its 10th Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title in program history, and the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. In their 10th appearance as a program in the NCAA Tournament, the Gulls fell to Farmingdale State, 16-14, in the first round.

Endicott also saw eight student-athletes claim All-CCC honors - which included three individuals who earned major conference awards (Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year) - while 11 student-athletes collected CCC Academic All-Conference honors.
