BEVERLY, Mass. — No. 1 seeded Endicott lost to No. 4 seeded UNE, 3-2, in the Conference of New England (CNE) Semifinals on Wednesday night at North Field.
The Nor'easters scored all three goals off penalty corners to punch their ticket to the conference championship game (11/9, at No. 2 Roger Williams, time TBD).
UNE (9-11) entered tonight's contest with roughly 18 of their 40 goals registered from corners (45%).
Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) had both tallies for the Gulls (5:14, 1-1 | 47:35, 3-2).
In goal, Faith Minickene (Madison, Conn.) made 13 saves in the setback.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- UNE snapped a three-game losing streak to Endicott (Gulls lead all-time series 22-19).
- Swanson came into tonight's matchup leading Division 3 in goals per game 1.59 (2nd in points per game, 3.47).
