BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team scored at least two goals in every period to defeat Salem State, 10-0, on Wednesday night at North Field.
Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.) led the charge with two goals (19:15, 20:01).
Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.), Taylor Stone (Old Saybrook, Conn.), Lily Farnham (Andover, Mass.), Allison Fijux (Watertown, Mass.), Sabrina Brunet (South Burlington, Vt.), Emma Wilichoski (Danvers, Mass.), Gracie Bolduc (Weare, N.H.), and Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.) all buried solo tallies to round out the scoring for the Gulls.
Defensively, Endicott did not yield a shot attempt, helping Alexis DeMattia (Methuen, Mass.), Caroline Harvey (Dover, Mass.), and Faith Minickene (Madison, Conn.) combine for the shutout.
DeMattia played the first half, while Harvey and Minickene backstopped the Gulls in the last two periods, respectively.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 16-3 all-time against Salem State.
- The Gulls have won the last nine meetings (three straight shutouts).
- Stone, Brunet, and Fijux all potted their first career goals (all goals featured in video highlights).
- Endicott buried a series-high-tying 10 goals tonight (9/4/17, 10-0), at Salem State.
- Dengler registered her sixth career multi-goal game.
