BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team opens up its 2024 season on the road against No. 3 nationally ranked Babson on Friday, August 30 at 4 PM. Here's a preview of the Gulls' upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Endicott comes into the 2024 campaign as the top-ranked team in the Conference of New England (CNE), per the league's preseason poll
- The Gulls will look to capture their fifth conference championship in six years this season and their first-ever CNE Championship
- Endicott returns seven All-Conference selections including Co-Offensive Player of the Year Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.). Due to injury, the Gulls will be without Co-Rookie of the Year Abby Antonelli (Worcester, Mass.) but welcome back junior Lily Farnham (Andover, Mass.) who is returning from injury.
- The Gulls' top four goal scorers from last season's team are all back which finished the year ranked No. 13 nationally in goals per game with 3.90.
- Endicott takes on four preseason nationally ranked opponents this season (No. 1 Middlebury, No. 3 Babson, No. 17 MIT, and No. 25 Trinity (Conn.)) and four programs that made the NCAA Tournament last fall
