Field Hockey Downs Southern Maine, 6-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team defeated Southern Maine, 6-0, on Wednesday evening in non-conference action at North Field.

Endicott scored five of its six goals in the first half to run away with the victory.

Emma Wilichoski (Danvers, Mass.) led the way for the Gulls with two goals less than two minutes apart (27:02, 28:53) while Kathleen Reissfelder (Westwood, Mass.) recorded both assists on the tallies in the first half along with a goal of her own.

Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) and Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.) also scored in the first half (10:04, 22:55), while Sabrina Brunet (South Burlington, Vt.) buried the lone tally of the second (58:11).

In goal, Faith Minickene (Madison, Conn.) stopped one shot in 30 minutes of play to improve to 2-0 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 4-0 all-time against Southern Maine.
  • The Gulls have outscored the Huskies 18-2 during that span.
  • First multi-goal game of Wilichoski's career.
  • Maddy Young (Hingham, Mass.) notched her fifth career defensive save at the 18:52 mark of the contest.

Endicott (5-3) hosts Nichols on Saturday, September 28, as part of Homecoming & Reunion Weekend.
