CCC QUARTERFINALS: No. 2 Endicott Handles No. 7 Wentworth, 19-1

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team defeated Wentworth, 19-1, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament quarterfinal round on Friday night at Hempstead Stadium.

Katie Wagner (Brewster, N.Y.) highlighted the attack with seven points (1g, 6a).

Morgan Pike (Shapleigh, Maine) added five goals in the win, while Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) compiled four points (1g, 3a) to highlight the rest of the offense.

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) stopped two shots in the first half to improve to 12-6 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Pike registered her 100th career goal at the 12:20 mark of the second.
  • Endicott is 10-0 all-time against Wentworth.
  • Eleven student-athletes also registered points in the victory aside from Wagner, Pike, and Napolitano.
  • With the win. the Gulls have now advanced to the CCC Semifinals for 18 straight seasons.

WHAT'S NEXT

Second-seeded Endicott (12-6) will host the winner of No. 6 UNE/No. 3 Western New England on Wednesday, May 4 at a time to be determined later. Wentworth sees its 2022 season come to a close at 4-10 overall.
