Women's Lacrosse Turns Away Salve Regina, 19-9

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team bested Salve Regina, 19-9, in conference action on Wednesday night at Hempstead Stadium. 

Katy Garvin (Mansfield, Mass.) and Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) led all scorers in the matchup with a game-high five goals, respectively. 

Morgan Pike (Shapleigh, Maine) registered a hat trick and Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H.) scored twice to round out the list of double-digit tallies for the Gulls. 

Meanwhile, Nicole Genga (Marlborough, Conn.), Tori Hurley (Glastonbury, Conn.), LZ Olney (Freeport, Maine)Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.) and Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.) all found the back of the net once in the victory. 

In cage, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) made three saves in her seventh win of the season (7-5), while Kaitlin Bressette (Annadale, N.J.) also stopped three shots in the final fifteen minutes of action. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 29-1 in the all-time series over Salve Regina (28 straight wins).
  • Pike posted her 100th career point on the first goal of the game. 
  • Olney netted her first tally in her first appearance of the season. 
  • Nora Staunton (Bloomfield, Conn.) collected a career-high four ground balls. 
  • Tori Hurley (Glastonbury, Conn.) facilitated a career-high five assists. 
  • Endicott scored six unanswered goals in the fourth quarter. 
  • The Gulls have never dropped a game at The Nest to the Seahawks (20-0 all-time).

Endicott (7-5, 3-1 CCC) visits Western New England on Saturday, April 16th at 1 PM. Salve Regina (6-3, 3-2 CCC) travels to Western New England on Tuesday, April 19th at 4 PM.
