Women’s Lacrosse Falls To Roger Williams, 20-15

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team lost to Roger Williams, 20-15, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.) and Morgan Pike (Shapleigh, Maine) both registered four tallies, respectively, while Katie Schenk (Southbury, Conn.) recorded a hat trick in the setback.

Meanwhile, Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) and Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H.) scored two goals apiece to round out Endicott's attack. 

Defensively, Gabriella Prisco (West Haven, Conn.) complied three groundballs, forced two turnovers, and won five draw controls for the Gulls. 

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) turned away 15 shots (6-5).   

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Despite the loss, Endicott is 24-6 in the all-time series versus Roger Williams.
  • The Hawks, who are receiving votes in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Top-25 Poll, extended their winning streak to 10 straight games. 
  • Roger Williams is 6-1 on the road this year (winners of six straight). 
  • Akins has made 10 or more saves in three games this season.

Endicott (6-5, 2-1 CCC) hosts Salve Regina on Wednesday, April 13th at 7 PM. Roger Williams (10-1, 4-0 CCC) welcomes Wentworth on Saturday, April 16th at 3 PM.
