BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team held off Nichols, 88-82, in a Conference of New England (CNE) matchup inside MacDonald Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.
Libby Fleming (Bangor, Maine) filled up the stat sheet with 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and three blocks.
Cora Nadeau (Newport, Vt.) added 15 points and four boards, while Emma Shinney (Wakefield, Mass.) supplied an all-around game with 15 points, six dimes, and five rebounds.
Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) and Tenley Wallin (Danbury, Conn.) each chipped in with 15 and nine points, respectively.
Following an evenly-matched opening 10 minutes, the Gulls soared to a 20-8 scoring run to take a 40-29 lead with 3:10 remaining in the half.
The stretch was ignited by Wallin (7), Nadeau (5), Tricia Wladkowski (Norwood, Mass.) (2), Alyssa Garabedian (Cheshire, Mass.) (2), Fleming (2), and Shinney (2).
Following the halftime break, Endicott's lead ballooned out to as many as 14 points (51-37) in the third quarter, but the Bison eventually cut it to a two-point deficit by outscoring the Gulls, 28-16 (8:46-1:32).
Meanwhile in the fourth quarter, the Bison narrowed Endicott's lead to 74-73 with 6:44 remaining.
From there, the hosts fought off the comeback bid by the visitors outscoring them 14-9 to close the contest and capture its eighth straight victory.

- Both of Endicott's top scoring performances came against Nichols this season (1/22/25 | W, 95-67)
- Endicott moved to a 9-2 record at The Nest this season.
- The hosts dished out 18 assists on 31 made buckets from the field this evening.
